The Lord's soldier: founder of rock word church, dominion international, passes on
God's servant and founding Pastor of Rock Word Church and Dominion International has gone home to be with the Lord. The exit of the cleric, widely regarded as a kingdom general, has thrown the body of Christ in Nigeria into mourning.
The Church, in an official statement signed by Rev. Nnamdi Echezona on Saturday, 23rd August, 2026, announced that the servant of God passed on Friday, 21st August, 2026.
According to the statement, the transition has been described as a "glorious home going" of a soldier of the Cross.
It is indeed precious in the sight of the Lord, for the death of a saint marks the end of a race well run and a battle well fought.
Members of his congregation have since expressed gratitude to God for a life well spent in service to the Kingdom. Across social media platforms and within church auditoriums, testimonies continue to pour in from believers who described him as "The Lord's Soldier" — a title earned from decades of undiluted teachings that shaped destinies times without number.
Beyond the pulpit of Rock Word Church and Dominion International, his impact cut across denominations. Through crusades, conferences, and media outreaches, he mentored pastors, raised leaders, and counselled families. For many, his sermons provided direction during economic hardship, healing during sickness, and hope in moments of despair.
As expected, tributes have continued to pour in from clergy, political leaders, and members of the public. The central theme is that the Church has lost a voice that stood firm for holiness, prayer, and national intercession at a time when such voices are scarce.
Many still offer prayers to his immediate family, the leadership of Rock Word Church, and the entire congregation during this season of grief.
Yet the reality remains that his exit leaves a vacuum that will be difficult to fill. His impact was profound in the lives of people.
For that reason, he will be greatly missed.
The late cleric laboured at a time when the Church in Nigeria faced increasing pressure from insecurity, economic hardship, and doctrinal compromise. Still, he remained consistent in his message of faith, sacrifice, and dependence on God.
With his passing, the body of Christ has lost one of its frontline soldiers. However, his teachings, books, and recorded messages will continue to disciple generations.
The Church has urged members to remain steadfast and to honour his legacy by continuing the work he started.
May his soul rest in peace.
